Regional School Boards

Regional School Boards have been established to replace Local Governing Bodies, one board for each of our six hubs. These boards will focus on the educational performance of our schools and will provide the third line of assurance for the work of our Hub Directors and education strategy. The creation of these boards will improve the governance span of control and reduce duplication in assurance reporting.

At a local school level, Community Councils (CC) are established, with each member of the council known as a Community Ambassador. The CCs will have a clearly defined role in supporting the Headteacher with community engagement activity, providing insights into perceptions of the community, coordinating and engaging with the school’s Parent Forum, and promoting the ethos of each school. If you are interested in becoming a Coummunity Ambassador for one of our schools please contact the relevant school office.
